Privacy Policy

ShareSpeak is made by inifo, LLC. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data. The short version: your recordings and transcripts stay on your iPhone.

What we collect

Nothing. ShareSpeak has no account system, no sign-in, and no server of its own. We do not collect, receive, transmit, or store your recordings, transcripts, edits, or any personal information.

What stays on your device

• Audio recordings you create
• Transcripts generated from those recordings
• Any edits you make to a transcript
• Timestamps and local history entries
• Your app settings and preferences

All of this is stored locally on your iPhone. Deleting an item in the app removes it from the device. Deleting the app removes all of it.

Transcription

Transcription is performed on your device using Apple's Speech framework, which is part of iOS. Your audio is not sent to inifo, LLC. Because the framework is Apple's, your use of speech recognition is also governed by Apple's own software licence and privacy terms, and iOS will ask for your permission before speech recognition is enabled.

Permissions the app asks for

• Microphone — required to record audio.
• Speech recognition — required to turn that audio into text.

Both are requested on first launch and can be changed at any time in the iOS Settings app. Background recording is an app capability you control from within ShareSpeak's settings.

Sharing

When you use the Share action, ShareSpeak hands your transcript to the standard iOS share sheet and you choose the destination. What happens after that is governed by whichever app or service you send it to. ShareSpeak does not transmit anything on its own.

Purchases

Full Access is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the transaction and we never see your payment details. We receive only the purchase status needed to unlock the feature on your device.

Analytics and tracking

ShareSpeak contains no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking. We do not build a profile of you, because we do not receive any data about you.

Children

ShareSpeak is not directed at children under 13. Since the app collects no data, it holds no information about anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's App Store release notes.
